Bringing in the Light of Awareness

Once again we are heading into the holiday seasons and the darkest time of the year. Holidays at the best of times bring a variety of emotions, expectations and memories, and how much more so with the challenges and uncertainties of this past year.

It is so important to be compassionate and gentle with ourselves and others. It is important to connect to our own inner light, which always continues to shine  even in the darkness, if we open our eyes and heart to see it. How do we stay awake and see the beauty surrounding us and all the possibilities in front of us?.

“…the creative force within Being calls out “Where are you?” To every human being, surely a call that is not in words and comes from a place deeper than language.” Rabbi Art Green, Radical Judaism, pp 92-93.

Perhaps this winter you can have the intention to be still, to go within, and discover your inner light and passion. What brings you joy? What lights your creative fire? What do you want to express in your paintings, and how can you do this? Can you make a conscious intention to let your own light shine and unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

I would love to hear what you discover.
